One Last Meeting
It’s hard to believe that tonight’s meeting was our last before the conference. This semester has really flown by! We kicked it off by creating our annual UCMUN playlist — a compilation of songs suggestions from every staff member that we can jam out to between committee sessions.
After making sure to add all three renditions of Mamma Mia, we went over conference logistics one last time. Lucas Bladen, our Secretary-General, walked us through the weekend hour-by-hour and helped calm any last minute jitters. The smaller staffs broke off to touch base, but wrapped up early so that everyone can get a good night’s sleep.
It was a bittersweet leaving the meeting tonight, knowing that it was the last one — who will we spend our Thursday nights with from now on? Still, we have a whole weekend together to look forward to! In honor of the conference starting tomorrow, we concluded the meeting by painted the rock. This UConn tradition is a great way for student organizations to share their spirit with the rest of the university community. After all the fun we had painting the rock together, we’re even more excited for tomorrow!
